Senior Project Manager / Business Development Professional - Environmental Services for Mining

In this role you will lead and grow Stantec's mining-focused business in the western US, partnering with regional leaders to expand client accounts and deliver integrated environmental services. You will steer strategy, pursuit activities, and project leadership across mining projects from permitting to NEPA-related work, while mentoring staff and reinforcing a safety-focused, inclusive culture. • Set vision and drive expansion of mining business in the western United States
• Support regional mining sector growth and manage key client accounts
• Develop broad client relationships and pursue opportunities aligned with strategic plan
• Drive revenue growth through integrated services and collaboration with regional leaders
• Support recruitment and retention of subject matter experts and project managers
• Guide mining-related permitting, planning, budgeting, and scheduling; manage subcontractors
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and local governments
• Oversee environmental analyses and resource assessments for mining projects
• Ensure quality assurance/quality control on final deliverables and regulatory compliance
• Lead cross-line collaboration to deliver integrated service delivery and grow Western US teams
• Promote Safer Together culture and uphold ethics and diversity principles
• Develop and implement mining sector strategic plan and long-term regional market view
• Mentor staff in technical practices, regulatory strategy, and project management

• Strong project management and business development experience in mining
• Client account management with annual revenue >$5M
• Solid mining sector understanding and credibility
• Proven environmental consulting background serving mining clients
• Leadership and teamwork in a consulting context
• Ability to travel and maintain safety compliant practices
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Experience guiding NEPA or equivalent environmental analyses
